Volunteer with Generation Lyme
Gen Lyme volunteer opportunities offer patients and supporters ways to give back to this incredible community. Roles can translate to your resume and provide a great way to gain work experience, which is often tricky to navigate when you’re sick.
Hosts
Lead one of our weekly Meet-Ups or Monthly Meet-Ups. You can sign on for a regular commitment or get added to our roster of active Meet-Up hosts to fill in as needed!

Assist with organization, social media, planning, and various behind-the-scenes tasks that keep Gen Lyme running!
FAQ
Do I need to be in remission to join?
Nope! Some of our Board Members and Hosts are still actively treating!
Will I still be able to receive support as a Gen Lyme Community Member?
Yes! Absolutely. Meet-Up Hosts still attend Meet-Ups whenever they want!
What do I need to do to prepare?
Come to at least two Meet-Ups! Even if you leave your camera off and just listen, we want everyone on our team to have a full picture of what Gen Lyme is about.
Do I need to have previous experience hosting or leading a nonprofit?
Not at all! We provide training. Plus, we know that Lyme can make it hard to get back into the workforce. These volunteer opportunities help bridge those gaps.
How much of a commitment will this be?
Whatever we determine together!
