Generation Lyme Heads to ILADS 2026
We're excited to join physicians, researchers, advocates, and others working to improve the lives of people affected by Lyme and other tick-borne diseases at the 2026 ILADS Annual Scientific Conference.
The International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) scientific conference brings together physicians and medical professionals focused on diagnosing and treating Lyme disease and other vector-borne illnesses.
Medical care is central to the patient experience. But the challenges of living with Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses extend far beyond the doctor's office: navigating uncertainty, finding reliable information, managing relationships and daily life, coping with loneliness and isolation, and struggling to be understood and receive appropriate care, all while living through experiences that can be difficult even to describe.
That's why connections between healthcare professionals and patient communities matter.
Generation Lyme brings together people affected by Lyme and other tick-borne diseases to share stories, find peer support, access resources, and build meaningful connections. For someone navigating a complex, isolating illness experience, knowing that a community like this exists—and being connected to it by a trusted healthcare professional—can make a profound difference.
The value goes both ways. Patient communities offer a vital window into the experiences, questions, concerns, and needs of people living with these illnesses. Listening to these perspectives helps healthcare professionals better understand the lives of the people they care for in ways clinical data alone can't capture.
We look forward to learning from others at ILADS, sharing what we're hearing from our community, and building relationships that strengthen understanding across the field and help more patients and families find the support they need.
